Calling All Dads!
One of the most important privileges given by God to men is to be a father. As a father of seven children, by God's grace I am learning what is really important--the training and nurturing of these seven never-dying souls.
We as fathers need to follow God's command in Ephesians 6:4 which says, "Fathers provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." This is a responsibility given especially to fathers, and it requires action. We must not only give our children quality time, but also quantity time. First, this means we need to involve our children in our daily lives so they can experience and learn directly from us as fathers. Second, we must consciously devote time to individually shepherd each of our children's hearts.
In these pages I hope to give you many practical and important tips to help you bring your children up in the Lord. May God bless you as you die to yourself, faithfully nurture your children, and spiritually lead your family.
